Success at Scottish Health Awards for Glasgow Recovery Communities
At this year’s Scottish Health Awards in November the Glasgow Recovery Communities Team won the Healthier Lifestyle Award.
Glasgow Recovery Communities provide valuable support to people post treatment and care for drug and alcohol misuse. A team of 100 dedicated volunteers, with real-life experience, provide a safe and therapeutic environment where people are supported to leave core services, maintain abstinence and develop new skills setting them on a path to success and independence.

New £17m Gorbals Health and Care Centre Opens its Doors to Patients
The new £17 million Gorbals Health and Care Centre opened its doors to the local community for the first time this week.Work began in June 2017 on the new modern facility providing improved access to a range of community and primary care services.

Planning Begins for New North East Health and Social Care Hub
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership has completed a selection process for the site of the new North East Health and Social Care Hub. The process identified the Parkhead Hospital/Mental Health Resource Centre/Parkhead Health Centre as the preferred location. The new expanded Health and Care Centre Hub will be much more than a simple replacement of the existing facility; it will give local people access to state-of-the-art health and care services in a facility fit for the 21 st century and all under one roof.
Local People Discuss Older People's Health and Care Services in North West Glasgow
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership North West Locality Engagement Forum (LEF) members met with representatives of the wider community and speakers at the Albany Centre on the 31 January 2019 to discuss and focus on Older People’s services in North West Glasgow.

Local People Discuss Health and Social Care Services in North West Glasgow
Glasgow City HSCP (GCHSCP) North West Locality Engagement Forum (LEF) members, service users and representatives of the wider community met at Partick Burgh Hall on the 26 February 2019, to discuss the draft GCHSCP North West Locality Plan 2019/2020.
Jackie Kerr, Assistant Chief Officer, North West Locality and Adult Services introduced the Plan and outlined priorities and challenges. Further information on key achievements and challenges was given by Janet Hayes, Head of Planning, North West Locality.
