Huge congratulations to Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Homeless Health and Asylum Service (now called Complex Needs and Asylum Health Services) who were announced as the winner of the People's Choice Award at the Scottish Health Awards 2021 on Thursday, 4 November.

Looking after our mental health is important every day of the year, but World Mental Health Day provides us with the opportunity to pause and reflect on the mental health of ourselves and those around us.

Now that Autumn is here and winter approaches, the Growing Spaces in the garden at Gartnavel Royal Hospital have started to take on new colours and shapes. Seed heads and falling leaves carpet the walkways and yet the Sunflowers still offer a striking reminder of the summer now gone.

Following the roaring success of Meander 2019, Leverndale’s Design in the Dale Group was disappointed that they had to postpone last year’s event due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but Meander for Mental Health was back this month for 2021! 

The beginning of September saw the Compassionate Distress Response Service (CDRS), a support service for adults experiencing emotional distress, celebrate the first anniversary of its daytime support service.

Funding is now available to support statutory and voluntary organisations to provide programmes seeking to reduce stigma and discrimination towards people with poor mental health.

Following the roaring success of Meander 2019, Leverndale’s Design in the Dale Group was disappointed to have to pause last year’s event due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but Meander for Mental Health is back for 2021 and runs from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 September 2021. 

A stunning new mural has been unveiled at Glasgow’s Leverndale Hospital as part of a wider project to transform the campus, improving both indoor and outdoor spaces, increasing greenspace and biodiversity and improving the environment for our patients, staff and the local community.

This year’s Volunteers’ Week is from 1 to 7 June, and is a time to say thanks and recognise the fantastic contribution made by volunteers across Glasgow City Health and Social Care (HSCP) services.
