1-7 June marks the 35th annual National Volunteers' Week, a celebration  across the UK of all the fantastic contributions volunteers

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) is pleased to advise that the new Woodside Health and Care Centre will be fully operational from Monday 1 July 2019.

Glasgow City HSCP (GCHSCP) North West Locality Engagement Forum (LEF) members, service users and representatives of the wider community met at Partick Burgh Hall on the 26 February 2019, to discuss the draft GCHSCP North West Locality Plan 2019/2020.

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership has completed a selection process for the site of the new North East Health and Social Care Hub. The process identified the Parkhead Hospital/Mental Health Resource Centre/Parkhead Health Centre as the preferred location.

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership recently invited stakeholders to a series of events in November, December and January, looking at plans for services for Children, Adults, Older People, Primary Care and Housing.

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK. To mark this event and thank their volunteers North West Locality staff organised an award ceremony and lunch for volunteers followed by a visit to the Tall Ship, Riverside.

There is good evidence that volunteering brings benefits to both the person volunteering and the people and organisations they support.  Volunteering means choosing to spend time unpaid doing something to help other people or groups, other than (or as well as) close relatives.
