Congratulations to Elderpark Housing Association in Govan. They’ve recently signed up to the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland Scheme. 

An improved health and social care facility for people in the North East of Glasgow has moved a step closer. Building work on the new Parkhead Hub started on site in March 2022 and it’s due to open in 2024.

The Positive Outcomes Project (POP) is a partnership-based outreach team that is making a difference to those who find themselves in a cycle of offending due to alcohol and/or drug dependency. 

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) Teams have been working with families across the city to give the opportunity for families to sit down and talk about their children’s needs and make plans to support them as a family group.  

Statistics show that one in five women are affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and the first year after birth. This includes mental illness existing before pregnancy, as well as illnesses that develop for the first time, or are greatly exacerbated in the perinatal period.

A recent learning day is helping Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and our partners discuss the positives and challenges of Housing First in Glasgow. 

Staff from 17 organisations across Greater Glasgow and Clyde came together in November 2022 at an engagement event held by Sandyford Sexual Health Services. Sandyford is hosted by Glasgow City HSCP for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

Two Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) nurses are among a group of 20 extraordinary clinical nurse leaders to have been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Queen’s Nurse’.

Over the next few months, we’ll be listening to people across the city to hear their views on how we can best communicate with them about Maximising Independence (MI).
