Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s Facing the Future Together (FTFT) Staff Awards ceremony took place on the morning of 12 September at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The Awards recognise and thank individual staff and teams within the Partnership for ‘going the extra mile’ in their work within a number of categories, especially in situations when they or their service have been under additional pressure or when they have implemented an improvement idea that has yielded significant benefit.

Councillor Mhairi Hunter, Vice Chair of the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board (IJB), has been finding time in her busy diary to meet staff across the Partnership and observe first-hand the transforming impact that services are having on individuals and communities.

Project Search is a work experience programme that supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to get and keep a fulltime job. It started in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital (United States) in 1996 and is now delivered in over 500 sites worldwide, including two in Glasgow.

Two new multi-million pound state-of-the-art health and care centres in the Gorbals and Woodside are set to be open to local residents by the end of 2018.
