SPHERE – help for people with bladder and bowel issues

Staff from Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) SPHERE (Supporting Pelvic Health though Empowerment, Rehabilitation and Education) Bladder and Bowel Service were out and about at health centres across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), as part of this year’s World Continence Week, 17 to 21 June.

The HSCP’s Partnership Matters briefing highlights some of the work that’s happening across the HSCP with partners. It currently includes updates and announcements, the HSCP’s COVID-19 briefing, news items and upcoming meetings / events. From time-to-time, the HSCP also publishes bulletins and newsletters on specific services or topics. Partnership Matters Briefing - July 2024

Our July edition starts off with highlighting the changes in our HSCP’S Executive and Senior Management Teams, which sees Jackie Kerr being appointed as our Interim Chief Officer.  You can also read about how our health and social care workers have been recognised at the annual Celebrating Success Staff Awards and our ongoing partnership with the University of Strathclyde and City of Glasgow College to deliver Project Search. From 10 to 17 June, we celebrated unpaid carers during Carers week 2024, find out more about the weeklong celebrations across the city. In July we are launching a new pilot project called “Circles of Support” which sees the person needing support and their family at the centre of making decisions that affect them. Telecare is going digital, read all about how providers across the UK are replacing analogue phone lines with digital equivalents by January 2027. Finally, there are also many other interesting news articles including key dates of meetings and events for the year ahead.
