Glasgow’s largest citywide recovery event, People Make Recovery, was a huge success.

Recovery Month is the annual international campaign to celebrate the achievements of individuals in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, raise awareness and promote services supporting people in recovery. As part of the celebrations, Glasgow City hosted its biggest ever city-wide event, People Make Recovery.

October is National Black History Month, which celebrates and reflects on the rich history of Black culture, innovation, and revolution.

This encompasses the history of African, Caribbean and Asian people in this country; people who often have a direct link with Scotland through slavery, colonialism and migration. Black History Month focuses on people whose sacrifices, contributions and achievements against a backdrop of racism, inequality and injustice are often forgotten about.
