Orchard Grove celebrates tenth anniversary

On 6 September, residents, their families, friends and staff all got together at our Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s Orchard Grove residential care home to celebrate the home being operational for 10 years. We wanted to celebrate this achievement of providing a decade of the highest quality of personalised care by having a huge ‘Young at Heart’ party with all the people we consider family.

Evelyn Downie, Service Manager said: “We sent invites to everyone, residents’ families and our staff, who came along and joined us as we celebrated one another.

New five-year Nursing and Midwifery strategy

‘Leading the Way’ is the new Nursing and Midwifery Strategy for all our nurses and midwives across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), which includes our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), over the next 5 years.

Launched in May 2025, the strategy is supported by a transformative approach to listening, known as the ‘Big Conversation’, and underpinned by close collaboration of nurses, midwives, and healthcare support workers.

Prevent is one of four strands of the UK’s Counter Terrorism Strategy along with Pursue, Protect and Prepare. Prevent aims to stop people from becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism. Prevent also includes supporting the rehabilitation and disengagement of those already involved in terrorism.
