Glasgow City’s Dementia Strategy 2016-19 is available.
The Dementia Strategy was approved by the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board on 10 May 2016.The Strategy is currently being reviewed in relation to the new Dementia Strategy for Scotland.
Review of Direct Payments – Prepaid Card Scheme
Glasgow City Council has recently undertaken a review of the way we currently administer our direct payments, and will be introducing new Prepaid Cards for those who receive a Direct Payment.
What is a Direct Payment?A direct payment is one of the Self Directed Support Options that a service user can choose to access your Individual Budget. This is the amount that has been assessed as being required to pay for their care and support needs.

Care Homes Share Learning About Red Bag Scheme
Staff from care homes across Glasgow came together in April to share their experience of participating in the Red Bag Scheme. The event, held in Glasgow City Chambers, also featured inputs on how care homes can support a reduction in medicines waste and how having Anticipatory Care Plans can lead to positive outcomes for care home residents.
