Welcome to the December 2019 Newsletter. This month we recognise the achievements of staff at the NHSGGC Celebrating Success Awards. In the Public Health Local Staff Award category, the Prison Smokefree Services Team, hosted by Glasgow City HSCP, received the Celebrating Success Local Staff Award.

We also look at the range of activities to increase awareness of dementia and other supports for mental health.

Every three years Glasgow has to produce an Integrated Children’s Services Plan. Glasgow’s Integrated Children’s Services Plan 2017-20 is now coming to an end and the Health and Social Care Partnership have to work together to deliver Glasgow’s Children’s Services Plan 2020-23.

As many people start to wind down for the festive period, hundreds of home carers across Glasgow are gearing up to carry out thousands of visits to some of our most vulnerable citizens on Christmas Day and over the festive period

On Christmas Day last year, more than 13,500 visits were carried out by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) home care staff – carrying out their normal daily duties whilst the rest of the city tuck into their turkey dinners.
