New Project to help Children Thrive Launched

Local networks to help children under five years of age and their families to eat healthily and maintain a healthy weight are being set up now across three neighbourhoods in Glasgow.

The two-year ‘Thrive Under 5’ project is an exciting early intervention programme that aims to enable a healthy weight in the early years (pre-five years) using a wider child poverty perspective.

A new service to support parents and carers of young people experiencing emotional distress is being piloted in Glasgow until 31 March 2022. 

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s Compassionate Distress Response Service (CDRS) has been providing support to people aged 18 and over who are in emotional distress, since May 2020.

Glasgow’s Homeless and At Risk Communities Get Boosted Against COVID

Some of Glasgow’s most vulnerable communities have been getting boosted at the Lodging House Mission in the city centre. Advanced Nurse Practitioners have been providing jags from the charity’s premises in the city centre, where they provide care and support to homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded people.
