#HeidOutdoors for Good Mental Health
Spending time in nature has been found to help with mental health problems including anxiety and depression, and this is the theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which runs from 10 to 16 May 2021.
A week of activity to encourage people to get outside and enjoy nature has been planned by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde’s (NHSGGC) Mental Health Improvement and Equalities team, hosted within Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).

The Charity for Gartnavel Royal Hospital is currently looking to recruit more volunteer Trustees and Fundraisers, to help find creative ways to develop its capacity to support the mental health recovery of the hospital’s patients.
The Charity wants to raise funds to develop a programme of recovery-based events and activity. This will help to maintain connections with patients’ communities and contribute to the elimination of the stigma still associated with mental illness.
