Raising Awareness of Bowel Cancer
April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. Bowel cancer is Scotland’s third most common cancer but it is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early. Nearly everyone diagnosed at the earliest stage will survive bowel cancer but this drops significantly as the disease develops.
Partnership Staff Teams get First and Second Place in SASW Social Work Team of the Year Award 2018
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership Staff received two Awards in the Scottish Association of Social Work (SASW) Awards for Best Practice in 2017.
The Award for Social Work Team of the Year was won by the Partnership’s Family Group Decision Making Team, with a highly commended for the same award for the Partnership’s Families for Children and Asylum/Roma Team.

PARC (Parkhead Addiction Recovery Café) 4th Birthday Celebration
This event celebrates four years of the Recovery Cafe. It is for anyone interested in recovery supports for themselves, their profession or their family. There is a free buffet, recovery shares/testimonies, family activity supports, music, entertainments and complimentary therapies.
Community Payback Order Unpaid Work Personal Placements Recognition Event
An event to recognise and present certificates to organisations who have supported unpaid work placements as part of Community Payback Orders, followed by discussion.
Helping Carers know their Rights - Carer's Act Launch Event
Around eighty carers from across Glasgow came to the City Chambers on 3 April for the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership's event to launch the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 which takes effect from 1 April 2018.
The Act extends and enhances the rights of carers in Scotland to help improve their health and wellbeing, so that they can continue to care, if they so wish, and have a life alongside caring.

QNIS Long Service Awards for Partnership Nursing Staff
