Adriana offers Hope to People Struggling with Suicidal Thoughts
Anyone watching swing dancer, Adriana Klick, bounce through the Lindy Hop would be shocked to learn she has had suicidal thoughts.
The bubbly, energetic 42-year-old has struggled with her emotional wellbeing since her teens and been on anti-depressants for two decades.
Staying positive, especially as someone living alone during the pandemic, still takes daily work, but she is happy to share her story to help tackle the stigma and shame which she feels can deter people from seeking help for mental ill-health.
Glasgow's COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Centres
Glasgow has five COVID-19 mass vaccination centres which are all wheelchair accessible.
Vaccination centres are operated by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and it is the NHS who will invite you to an appointment at a vaccination centre (not the council).

Do you care about your community and local health and social care services and want to have your voice heard?
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) is responsible for the planning, design and delivery of Child, Adult and Older People's local health and social care services. GCHSCP has three Locality Engagement Forums, one for the North East, North West and South localities of the city.
‘Children’s Mental Health Week 2021’ at Sgoil Ghaidhlig Glaschu (Glasgow Gaelic School)
To mark Children’s Mental Health Week (1 - 7 February 2021), Sgoil Ghaidhlig Ghlaschu (SGG) (Glasgow Gaelic School) staff have created a podcast specific to Mental Health. https://ceilisgg.buzzsprout.com/
SGG staff are creating weekly podcasts during lockdown as a fun way to share information from the school staff with pupils and their families and to help forge an online support while everyone is not able to be together at school.
New £67million Health and Social Care Hub for North East Glasgow backed by Scottish Government
Plans for a new £67 million health and care hub for the North East of Glasgow have moved a step closer.
The Scottish Government has today approved the Outline Business Case for the new North East Hub Health and Care Centre which will be built on the site of the former Parkhead Hospital.
