To inform the Integration Joint Board of work to discharge people from learning disability inpatient services. This includes the current status of work to discharge people recorded as a delayed discharge, as well as work to discharge people who are part of the programme to transition from NHS long-term care to a suitable alternative model of community provision.

Promoting cycling for all at Leverndale Hospital

When it comes to active and sustainable travel, our staff at Leverndale Hospital, Glasgow have got on their bikes and made things happen – for the benefit of patients and the nearby community.

Staff have been working with patients over the past couple of years through its Pedal 4 Progress initiative, to get them active and help them enjoy the benefits to physical and mental health of cycling.

Creating Circles of Support

We probably all know families who have their own roles in caring for a loved one, whether they’re the one who takes a parent to the shops, makes the dinners, gives a lift to appointments or just drops in for a cup of tea and a chat.  

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have such family support around them. So a new pilot project, based on the successful ‘Family Group Decision Making’ approach with children and young people, is being launched in Glasgow to replicate elements of the family support circle.

LGBT Charter Gold Award for Glasgow City Youth Health Service

Glasgow City Youth Health Service is delighted to announce that it’s now accredited with the LGBT Charter at Gold level.
