Partnership Outreach Programme Helps Break Cycle of Offending

The Positive Outcomes Project (POP) is a partnership-based outreach team that is making a difference to those who find themselves in a cycle of offending due to alcohol and/or drug dependency. 

The POP team consists of three Addiction Social Care Workers from our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) as well as two officers from Police Scotland and a Sacro lived experience Peer Mentor.

Congratulations to Elderpark Housing Association in Govan. They’ve recently signed up to the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland Scheme. 

The Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland Scheme (BFS) runs across Scotland to help provide mothers with positive experiences of breastfeeding when out and about in public areas. Businesses and organisations can actively support mothers to feed on their premises by signing up to the BFS Scheme and displaying their BFS sticker. This gives a visual reassurance that breastfeeding families will be welcomed.

New Video Launched Explaining How Technology Enabled Care and Support (TECS) Can Help People Live More Independently

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) offers Technology Enabled Care and Support (TECS) as a care and support option, for people to live their lives as independently as possible, in their own home. 

A new video has been launched to promote and explain how TECS can work as part of a person’s package of social care support. The video has been split into two short parts and can be viewed in any order. 

Glasgow Intensive Family Support Service celebrates its one-year anniversary

The Glasgow Intensive Family Support Service (GIFSS) celebrated its one-year anniversary at an event held at the Banqueting Hall in Glasgow’s City Chambers back in October 2022. 

Our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) GIFSS is a support service for families going through tough times and may be at risk of being accommodated. GIFSS works as a collaboration with our HSCP, Aberlour, Action for Children, Right There and Includem, who work in partnership to provide support to families across the city.

Elevate-Glasgow Celebrates Seven Years of Achievement with Graduation Ceremony

Over 100 awards were given to participants in a graduation ceremony at the end of February for qualifications, training and personal development programmes completed by individuals in recovery from drug or alcohol misuse.

New Creative Partnership between ALLIANCE and Glasgow City HSCP – the Legacy of COVID-19 in Care Homes

The ALLIANCE and Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) will be working with artist Xuechang Leng to commemorate experiences of COVID-19 in care homes.

The ALLIANCE has a history of partnership working with Glasgow City HSCP. Since October 2020, ALLIANCE’s National Lead for Caring and Outreach, Tommy Whitelaw, has been delivering ‘You Make a Difference Sessions’ to promote value-based reflective practice to all new inductees to the HSCP. So far, he has had the pleasure of speaking to 1,500 new colleagues.

New Health and Wellbeing (HWB) App Assists Glasgow City Education Staff

A Health and Wellbeing (HWB) App for Glasgow City Education staff is now available. The app was developed by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Health Improvement Team and will be launched at Education staff health and wellbeing co-ordinators meetings (Early Years, Primary and Secondary) in May.
