The new £17 million Gorbals Health and Care Centre opened its doors to the local community for the first time this week.Work began in June 2017 on the new modern facility providing improved access to a range of community and primary care services.

The purpose of this report is to present a draft Action Plan to meet the key recommendations of the Audit Scotland report ‘Health and social care integration, Update on Progress’. This report also provides an update on the national ‘review of progress of integration’ committed to by the then Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport in a Parliamentary debate in May 2018 to be taken forward by the Ministerial Strategic Group.
