Physical distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for the usual ways in which Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) seeks the views and experiences of people who access our health and care services.
 

Forty more GP Practices in Glasgow will now get a Community Link Worker / Practitioner to help patients improve their health and wellbeing.

People with learning disabilities who have spent years in hospital are set to enjoy new lives in the community thanks to Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).

Ann Forsyth is a Programme Manager, Primary Care Improvement Plan for Glasgow City HSCP, who is currently the Service Manager at the new COVID-19 Assessment Centre in Barr Street in North West Glasgow.

As part of a planned series of improvements to urgent primary care services, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has introduced a new appointments system within its GP out-of-hours service on a permanent basis.

New dedicated Community Assessment Centres (CACs) have opened across Greater Glasgow and Clyde to help combat COVID-19 by providing a more streamlined service to assess people presenting symptoms.

Families are being encouraged to plan for the future by obtaining Power of Attorneys (POA) to protect the wishes of relatives and friends in the event of illness or accidents.

Staff from care homes across Glasgow came together in April to share their experience of participating in the Red Bag Scheme.
