16 Days of Action to End Violence Against Women is coordinated in Glasgow by Community Safety Glasgow Violence Against Women Team on behalf of the Glasgow Violence Against Women Partnership (GVAWP).

The recent bad weather serves as a timely reminder that winter brings an increased risk of slips, trips and falls. Thankfully, the consequences of many falls on snow or ice are simply minor bumps, bruises and breaks.

Following the initial pilot of relocating the Out of Hours Emergency Homelessness Service, we are now extending the relocation period.

The Partnership’s Families for Children Team was recently awarded the Best Online Campaign at the Scottish Creative Awards for their recent #opentofostering campaign. It was also Highly Commended in the Creative Strategy category - Integrated Strategy.

The Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s Community Respiratory Team has been selected as a finalist at the 2017 Scottish Health Awards in association with the Scottish Government and Daily Record.

October 2017 is Black History Month. This is when we focus on the contributions and experiences of black and minority ethnic people throughout centuries of our nation’s history.  It is important that we recognise the role of black and minority ethnic people in shaping Scotland’s history.

Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board has been shortlisted for a Scottish Creative Award for its ‘Even Santa Needs a Power of Attorney’ TV advert - an upbeat Christmas advert designed to raise awareness about power of attorney (PoA).
