Volunteers, who run recovery cafes and initiatives in Glasgow, have stepped up during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to support themselves and other people to help maintain abstinence from drugs and alcohol.

Teams across the council family have been working hard throughout lockdown to make sure that there are enough temporary furnished flats available for homeless households who need them.

We all need an advocate at some times in our lives. It helps to have someone around to make a difficult phone call, someone who can help write a letter or someone to go with you to a difficult meeting.

At this year’s Scottish Health Awards in November the Glasgow Recovery Communities Team won the Healthier Lifestyle Award.
