New dad, Michael Wright, plans to jump out of a plane at 10,000ft to thank Glasgow's Housing First scheme for helping him rebuild his life after homelessness.

The James McLean Project (JMP) provides accommodation and support to homeless young men and women aged 16 to 21. The team at the JMP in Barmulloch has launched an App, which will transform the way they communicate with their service users.

1-7 June marks the 35th annual National Volunteers' Week, a celebration  across the UK of all the fantastic contributions volunteers

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK. To mark this event and thank their volunteers North West Locality staff organised an award ceremony and lunch for volunteers followed by a visit to the Tall Ship, Riverside.

There is good evidence that volunteering brings benefits to both the person volunteering and the people and organisations they support.  Volunteering means choosing to spend time unpaid doing something to help other people or groups, other than (or as well as) close relatives.

Following the initial pilot of relocating the Out of Hours Emergency Homelessness Service, we are now extending the relocation period.
