Social Work Services

Over the festive period all public social work offices will remain open between 08:45am to 4.45pm (Monday to Thursday) and 08.45am to 3.55pm (Friday) but will be closed on the following public holidays: 

• Friday 25 December 2020
• Monday 28 December 2020 
• Thursday 31 December 2020 closed from 12 noon onwards
• Friday 1 January 2021
• Monday 4 January 2021.

The exception to the above is:

• Castlemilk Area Office, which will close from 4.45pm on Thursday 24 December and will re-open again on Tuesday 5 January 2021 and
• Florence Street will also open on the public holidays to provide a crisis service for those experiencing mental health issues.

If you do not currently have a social worker and need support or information from Social Work Services then phone Social Care Direct on 0141 287 0555 during the office hours listed above. 

If you need to contact social work outside office hours then an emergency social work service is available from Glasgow and Partners Emergency Social Work Service on 0300 343 1505.

An out-of-hours homelessness service will be available during the festive period and can be contacted on 0800 838 502. 

Home Care Services

On Friday 25, Monday 28 December 2020 and Friday 1, Monday 4 January 2021, services are limited and therefore a reduced service will be provided across Glasgow. All affected service users will have received a letter detailing the changes.
