New Opportunities to work in Home Care

Published:

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership Care Services have launched a citywide recruitment campaign for home carers. Using the strapline ‘anyone who cares can be a carer’ the campaign aims to appeal to compassionate and caring individuals who want to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable citizens.

Airing on STV from 15 April, the advert features home carer Nicole Scally discussing why she decided to be a home carer, what she enjoys about the job and the challenges it presents.

Frances McMeeking, Head of Care Services said “Our recruitment campaign shows home care as a skilled profession and as being a demanding but ultimately rewarding job. It is a career that will appeal to individuals with a kind and nurturing nature who have what it takes to help our service users remain independently in their homes for longer.

We have a particular requirement for carers in Glasgow South and North West. Potential applicants need no prior experience or qualifications and full training will be provided.”
