New £60 Million Hub at Parkhead - Your Chance to Ask Questions

Local residents are being given the opportunity to ask questions about the new £60 million state-of-the-art Health and Social Care Hub planned for Parkhead.

Two consultation events are being held for the proposals. The first was on Thursday 23 July, and the second will be on Thursday 27 August 2020 between 3pm and 8pm and will offer local people the chance take part in a real-time live chat where they can come to the website and speak to members of the team through a chat box – they can ask questions to individual team members.

There will be information boards that people can view and as well as asking questions they can leave feedback through an online feedback form.

The new hub has been agreed as a priority for future investment and will provide state-of-the-art modern healthcare facilities for the residents in the north-east of Glasgow.

It is envisaged services based in a new centre would include:

2 GP surgeries
Dental services
Community pharmacy
Primary care mental health and psychotherapy
Rehabilitation and enablement services
District nursing
Health visiting and school nursing
Social Work children and family teams
Older people’s mental health services
Learning disability services
Sandyford East sexual health services
Health and social work addiction services, including hospital addiction team and
Criminal justice social work services.
