As part of World Breastfeeding Week which ran from 1 to 7th August 2018, many local Mums and not forgetting Dads came together to celebrate their experiences of breastfeeding at The Grove Baby Café in Possilpark.

The aim of the event was to highlight good nutrition with continued support towards working together to celebrate and increase our local breastfeeding rates.

The event also provided an ideal opportunity for Mums to meet socially and share their breastfeeding experiences whilst their children played and got involved with some of the fun activities on the day.

One local Mum from Possilpark commented ‘I’m glad I came, this is right on my doorstep! I’ll be back again’.

Helen Rockell who is a qualified NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor was delighted with the turnout of families.

‘It was lovely to welcome so many people to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week at Possilpark Baby Café. It’s great that we are based here in the local community area to provide support to breastfeeding families both in Possilpark and in the wider Glasgow and Clyde area.  A fun morning was enjoyed by everyone which sums up the warm and welcoming hospitality’.
