QNIS Long Service Awards for Partnership Nursing Staff

Three staff nurses from the North West Locality of the Partnership were recently presented with Long Service Awards from the Queen's Institute for Community Nursing Scotland (QNIS). 

 

The staff were Susan McNee and Margaret Jamieson based at Maryhill health and Care Centre and and Angela Toland, based at Possilpark Health and Care Centre.  They have all worked over 30 years with the Health Visiting team .

 

Lynne Dickson, Health Visitor Team Leader for Possilpark and Maryhill Health Visiting Teams said: "All three have seen many changes in the Health Visiting service. Initially they carried geriatric home visiting then moved to assisting the Health Visitors with the under five population with health promotion, baby clinics and immunisations. They have provided so much support to many families over the years."

 

The Queens Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) is a charitable organisation promoting excellence in community nursing, improving the health and wellbeing of the people in Scotland. They provide development programmes, hold national community nursing conferences and enable nurses in Scotland to be the very best they can be. The Institute connect people who wish to strengthen their identity, share good practice, promote leadership, research, education and practice. The award is given to nurses who have served in the community  for over 21 years
