Scottish Care’s Partners for Integration Annual Conference - September 2019

Published:

Scottish Care, the largest membership organisation and representative body for independent health and social care services in Scotland, is having their next annual conference.

In early September Scottish Care’s “Partners for Integration Team” will be hosting an event to showcase and celebrate collaboration and innovation across Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) areas: The Integration Story So far: Trust, Engagement, Relationship Building and innovation.

People are at the heart of integration, whether that’s people who access care and support, colleagues across HSCPs sharing knowledge and skills and the independent and third sector care providers delivering valuable services.  Scottish Care’s “Partners for Integration Team” plays a vital role in the delivery of integration; building relationships with key stakeholders to create a shared vision, supporting the delivery of local and national improvement programmes and contributing to strategic planning and local engagement.  There will be some examples of the work currently underway and how the “Local Integration Leads” can support the improvement journey in a collaborative way and values the need for a systemic approach.

Guest speakers will include:

  • Judith Proctor, Chief Officer, Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership
  • David Rowland, Professional Advisor, Directorate for Health and Social Care Integration, Scottish Government and
  • Diana Hekerem, Head of Transformational Redesign, Improvement Hub (ihub), Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

The event is designed to support the integration agenda and targeted at Chief Officers, Senior Managers within health and social care and will be on Thursday, 5 September 2019 from 10am – 3:15pm at the Hanover Conference Centre in Edinburgh.
