Time to Talk Day 2025: promoting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace
On 6 February, our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) marked Time to Talk Day.
This annual national campaign encourages friends, families, communities and workplaces to come together, talk, listen and help change lives by breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health.
To support this important initiative, our Mental Health Improvement Team hosted a drop-in event at Commonwealth House in the city centre, inviting colleagues to take some time out of their day to relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and have an open chat about mental health.
The drop-in provided a welcoming space for staff to share their experiences and tips on how they look after their mental health, take part in quizzes and fun activities focused on mental health awareness and pick up useful information and resources to support their mental wellbeing.
The theme for this year’s campaign was ‘get comfortable and start talking about mental health’. The aim was to encourage honest and open conversations, helping to reduce the stigma that often makes it difficult for people to seek the help they need.
The drop-in was a success, with many colleagues joining in and taking part in the activities. It provided a great opportunity for staff to connect, share experiences and learn more about how they can support their own mental health and that of others.
