NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde welcomes reduction in drug related deaths

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) welcomed the reduction in drug related death figures across Scotland as Drugs Minister Elena Whitham visited the Enhanced Drug Treatment Service, managed for NHSGGC by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP). 

Recent figures from the National Records of Scotland highlight a decline in drug deaths across Scotland, with a 21% reduction marking a significant step in the right direction in addressing substance abuse issues.

Supporting children and young people digitally - Aye Mind website

Social media and the internet have a huge impact on the wellbeing of children and young people, and Aye Mind is here for anyone who works with children and young people. Founded on the belief that those who support children and young people’s wellbeing must engage with the ‘digital world’, a new updated Aye Mind website was launched on the 19 September. 

Recognition for HSCP Health Visitor Nicola Boyle at National Children’s Awards

Nicola Boyle, a Health Visitor in Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s North West Locality, won the Children’s Choice Award at the 2023 Scottish Children’s Health Awards in September.

The Children’s Choice Award recognises someone who has made a significant difference to a child or young person undergoing treatment in hospital, at home or in the community. It’s a ‘thank you’ in recognition of the difference they’ve made to a child’s world.
