Volunteering at Gartnavel Royal Hospital
Gartnavel Royal Hospital’s creative programme, Art in the Gart, celebrated the efforts and care shown by its volunteers at the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Staff Awards for Excellence.
Ross Parker (Games Volunteer) and Paul Young (Garden Volunteer), Art in the Gart, were each awarded Volunteer of the Year awards at the Awards Ceremony held at Glasgow City Chambers on 14 March.
Parkhead Hub Update - April 2025
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) new Parkhead Hub opened in January 2025. The Hub integrates health and social care services and community facilities including a café, and the relocated Parkhead Library.
Members of the local community and staff are enjoying the fantastic new facilities provided by the Hub, which replaces several older buildings in the area.

The Plans was approved by the Integration Joint Board on 29 January 2025.

Success of our community Alexa trial leads to additional funding for a second phase
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Older People and South Planning Team is thrilled to share the remarkable outcomes of our Connected Care and Wellbeing Community Alexa Trial, which has significantly improved the lives of our service users. This innovative initiative, which began in April 2024, has not only met but exceeded our expectations, leading to additional funding for a second phase.
