Appointment of Chief Officer

The purpose of this report is to confirm the appointment of the Chief Officer to the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board (IJB).

Deputy Medical Director – Mental Health & Addiction Services

Dr Martin Culshaw has been appointed as the new Deputy Medical Director – Mental Health and Addiction Services across the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area, with responsibility for all care groups and the six Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs).

Over recent years, Glasgow City HSCP has been continually adapting the way we support people so that we can meet their needs in ways that maintain their independence. Now, we're looking to build even further on this approach.

Item No 12 - Clinical and Professional Quarterly Assurance Statement

To provide the IJB Finance, Audit and Scrutiny Committee with a quarterly clinical and professional assurance statement.

Item No 13 - HIS Inspections of Prison Healthcare Service in HMP Barlinnie and HMP Low Moss

To advise IJB Finance, Audit and Scrutiny Committee of: 
• the outcome formal inspection activity within Prison healthcare in 2019 and 2020; and 
• ongoing work to ensure improved and sustained performance.
