Glasgow Telecare Services transition to digital platform
On Tuesday, 4 March, our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) achieved a significant milestone in modernising our telecare services by successfully migrating to the Enovation UMO Digital Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) platform.
Telecare refers to a broad range of devices that are designed to help keep people safe in their own home by enabling them to request assistance in an emergency. The service is mainly used by older people or people with disabilities, but it can also support people who have significant health problems.

Falls Awareness and Prevention Work
Injuries caused by falls are a leading cause of hospital admission and death for those aged over 75. On average, there are over 4,000 hospital admissions in Glasgow each year due to a fall.
Fear of falling can result in inactivity, loss of confidence and increased risk of falls in older people. It can also result in reduced social interactions leading to isolation or loneliness.
Glasgow City HSCP Staff Awards for Excellence 2025 – Well done to all!
Dedicated staff and volunteers from across Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) were recognised at our Staff Awards for Excellence 2025, held at the City Chambers on 14 March.
The awards recognise and celebrate individual staff, teams and projects who have ‘gone the extra mile’ in their work in several categories.
Both health and social work staff working within our HSCP were eligible to be nominated. There was also a category for volunteers, and individuals not employed by us could also be nominated.
