Item No 08 - Global Internal Audit Standards Update and Internal Audit Charter

To provide members of the IJB Finance, Audit and Scrutiny Committee with an overview of the approach to ensuring compliance with the new Global Internal Audit Standards in the UK Public Sector (GIAS) during 2025/26. 

The report includes an update to the Internal Audit Charter at Appendix 1, including a new mandate section as required by the GIAS.

Item No 09 - Glasgow City IJB Internal Audit Plan 2025-26

To present to the IJB Finance, Audit and Scrutiny Committee the 2025/26 Internal Audit plan for the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board.

Item No 15 - Care Reform Bill Update

The purpose of this report is to provide the Integration Joint Board with an update on the current position of the Scottish Government’s National Care Service (Scotland) Bill, renamed the Care Reform (Scotland) Bill.

Item No 18 - Horizon Scanning

To provide a high level summary of potential future external developments that may impact on the Integration Joint Board’s strategic objectives, budget or key operational activity.

Item No 22 - National Care Home Contract Increase Agenda for Change -2025-26

The purpose of this report is to update the Integration Joint Board on further National Care Home Contract (NCHC) increases in respect of Agenda for Change (2025/26) and the proposed increases on our other commissioned services; and to note the approval by the Chief Officer and Depute Chief Officer, Finance and Resources, under delegated authority, on the ground of urgency.

Item No 23 - Application by Ashton Medical Practice to close their Cardonald Branch Surgery

The purpose of this report is to update the IJB on the application by Ashton Medical Practice to close their Cardonald branch surgery; and to note the approval of the application by the Chief Officer and Depute Chief Officer, Finance and Resources, under delegated authority, on the ground of urgency.

World Alzheimer’s Month – raising awareness of dementia and support

World Alzheimer’s Month 2025 in September took place to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. World Alzheimer’s Day takes place on 21 September every year.

Staff at Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) hosted dementia awareness drop-in sessions over the month in local health and care centres. These were well received by local people.

Sandyford pledges to support people with learning disabilities

Sandyford specialised sexual health services recently took part in Scottish Learning Disability week 2025 in September. The service pledged to “listen and learn from people with learning disabilities.” This is part of an ongoing programme of work with adults with a learning disability to have a positive relationship and sexual health experience.
