Parkhead Hub update – October 2025
Parkhead Hub continues to showcase a wide range of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) services, promote local groups and third sector organisations alongside profiling national campaigns.
Highlights from September and October included pop up information stalls to mark:
Exhibition at GOMA promotes breastfeeding in public places
A free exhibition and events programme promoting infant feeding in public is running until Friday, 9 January 2026 at Glasgow’s Gallery for Modern Art (GOMA).
New five-year Nursing and Midwifery strategy
‘Leading the Way’ is the new Nursing and Midwifery Strategy for all nurses and midwives across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), which includes Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), over the next 5 years.
Launched in May 2025, the strategy is supported by a transformative approach to listening, known as the ‘Big Conversation’, and underpinned by close collaboration of nurses, midwives, and healthcare support workers.
Glasgow City HSCP marks Black History Month
October is National Black History Month, which celebrates and reflects on the rich history of Black culture, innovation, and revolution.
This encompasses the history of African, Caribbean and Asian people in this country; people who often have a direct link with Scotland through slavery, colonialism and migration. Black History Month focuses on people whose sacrifices, contributions and achievements against a backdrop of racism, inequality and injustice are often forgotten about.

The purpose of this paper is to report on the performance of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Welfare Rights and Money Advice Team for 2024-25, including details of money advice provision commissioned by the Heath Improvement Team.
