Power of Attorney (PoA) Day 2024
Power of Attorney (PoA) Day 2024 is Thursday 21 November and we’re encouraging everyone to start the conversation about PoA.
Having a PoA in place means you can nominate someone you trust to make the important decisions about your future if ill health meant you couldn’t do it for yourself. Not many people know that even if you have a next of kin, you still need a PoA to make sure your wishes are followed if you become incapacitated – it doesn’t automatically fall to your next of kin.

Our HSCP’s community nurses recognised for their long service by QNIS
Community nurses working with Glasgow City Health and Social Care (HSCP) Partnership were presented with Long Service Awards from the Queen's Institute for Community Nursing Scotland (QNIS) on 27 November.
All community nurses with over 21 years’ service were invited to attend an afternoon tea at Glasgow’s City Chambers. One hundred and eighty nurses attended the event and received certificates and badges.
Hosting the event, Julia Egan, our HSCP’s Chief Nurse, thanked all the nurses and presented them with a QNIS certificate of recognition and badge.
