This report presents three parts of the Integration Joint Board’s (IJB) equality duties:
•New Equality Outcomes for 2024 to 2028.
•Reporting of mainstreaming of the equality duty.
•Progress towards the Equality Outcomes for 2022 to2024.
Item No 15 - Review of Private Sector Adaptation Policy - Opt out of Assisted Living
The purpose of this report is to update the IJB on the review undertaken of Private Sector Adaptations and agree actions from that review, that will enable service users within private sector housing, further choice of providers for adaptations.
Item No 14 - Social Care Planned Procurement 2024-25 and Commissioning Development Plan
To update the IJB on the planned procurement for social care services for financial year 2024/25, and to update on the progress of the commissioning development plan and planned development actions for 2024/25.
Item No 07 - Internal Audit - Directions and Interactions
To present to the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board Finance, Audit and Scrutiny Committee details of the internal audit work undertaken in relation to Directions to, and Interactions with, Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
Item No 06 - Internal Audit - Social Care Provider Sustainability
To present to the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board Finance, Audit and Scrutiny Committee details of the internal audit work undertaken in relation to Social Care Provider Sustainability.
Item No 18 - NHSGG&C Primary Care Strategy and Implementation Plan
The purpose of the report is to update the Integration Joint Board on the development and implementation of the NHSGGC Primary Care Strategy and share the Strategy and Implementation plan for noting.
Glasgow care home residents celebrate 80th Anniversary of VE Day
Staff at Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s Hawthorn House Care Home in Possilpark, which has 120 residents, organised events throughout the week including two street themed parties. This allowed people to come together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Thursday 8 May 2025.
Residents at Victoria Garden’s Care Home in Knightswood also celebrated the anniversary with a morning tea and an afternoon sing song. There were also garden or street parties in all services with entertainment organised wherever possible.
Item No 13 - Childrens Residential Services - Care Inspectorate Activity and Update
To provide the Finance, Audit and Scrutiny Committee an overview of Care Inspectorate activity in relation to directly provided Residential Children’s Services in the City and update the committee on developments in the past year.
