What is the Parkhead Hub?
Parkhead Hub is a new purpose-built facility to provide accommodation for health, social care and community services and a library and café in the Parkhead area of Glasgow. The full address is Parkhead Hub, 1251 Duke St, Parkhead, Glasgow, G31 5NZ. Phone 0141 531 9000.
What services are in Parkhead Hub?
Parkhead Hub provides:
- health and social care services for children, adults and older people, and specialist support through addictions, justice, homelessness and sexual health services, as well as a range of health improvement initiatives
- three GP practices (Forge Medical Practice, Drs McKenzie and Burns and Meadowpark Surgery)
- a community pharmacy
- dental services
- the HSCP Learning Centre (a citywide resource)
- community spaces, including bookable rooms, the relocated Parkhead library and a café
When did it open?
Parkhead Hub opened in January 2025.
Is there visitor car parking?
Yes, limited car parking is available initially. A further car park is being built at the site.
Are there lifts in the building and is the building accessible?
Yes, there are lifts to each floor and all areas of the building are fully accessible.
Are there rooms for the community to book?
Yes, there are four community rooms available to book.
What are the opening hours of Parkhead Hub?
The building is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 7pm on Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturday.
What does the building look like inside?
The building has a large entrance space and two enclosed outdoor courtyards, a range of consulting rooms and staff workspace.
Has there been engagement with the local community?
The project team has attended a number of Community Council and other local meetings to update on progress and has received positive feedback for the project.
