Celebrating our volunteers
National Volunteers’ Week takes place from 1 to 7 June every year and is a celebration across the UK of all the contributions volunteers make within their community.
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has a wide range of volunteers supporting its services including Mental Health services, Prisons and Local Engagement Forums.
On Wednesday 7 June some of our HSCP volunteers attended a Volunteer Glasgow event at Maryhill Burgh Halls. The event showcased a range of volunteer opportunities in North West Glasgow.
Carers Week 2023: Supporting Carers in the Community
From 5 to 11 June, we celebrated Carers Week to highlight the importance of Glasgow’s unpaid carers.
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities. This year’s theme for Carers Week was ‘Recognising and Supporting Carers in the Community’, and it was about coming together to make sure carers get the information and support they need to be able to care for their loved ones.
