Over 1,200 new mothers have benefited from support from Glasgow Baby Cafės in the last five years, according to new figures from the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).

The 2019 COSLA Excellence Awards were held on Thursday 10 October in St. Andrew’s. The awards celebrate the very best in Scottish local government.

1-7 June marks the 35th annual National Volunteers' Week, a celebration  across the UK of all the fantastic contributions volunteers

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK. To mark this event and thank their volunteers North West Locality staff organised an award ceremony and lunch for volunteers followed by a visit to the Tall Ship, Riverside.

A fantastic day was had by the Tomorrows Women service users and staff team on 8 March - International Women’s Day 2018.

There is good evidence that volunteering brings benefits to both the person volunteering and the people and organisations they support.  Volunteering means choosing to spend time unpaid doing something to help other people or groups, other than (or as well as) close relatives.

Increasing the number of mums who breastfeed their babies is a Scottish Government priority
