The Scotland Malawi Mental Health Education Project (SMMHEP) is a registered Scottish charity that aims to provide sustainable support for psychiatric teaching and training for health care professionals in Malawi.

To mark Stress Awareness Month this April, a new resource has been added to the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHGGGC) Mental Health Improvement Team Healthy Minds Collection: Online Harms and Mental Health.

Statistics show that one in five women are affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and the first year after birth. This includes mental illness existing before pregnancy, as well as illnesses that develop for the first time, or are greatly exacerbated in the perinatal period.
