To mark Stress Awareness Month this April, a new resource has been added to the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHGGGC) Mental Health Improvement Team Healthy Minds Collection: Online Harms and Mental Health.

Statistics show that one in five women are affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and the first year after birth. This includes mental illness existing before pregnancy, as well as illnesses that develop for the first time, or are greatly exacerbated in the perinatal period.

The Mental Health Network (Greater Glasgow) is a network of people and carers with a lived experience of mental health issues.

Come and meander for Mental Health on the new date of Saturday, 15 October while exploring the beautiful grounds of Leverndale Hospital and surrounding green spaces. With free events and activities happening all day, from guided walks to face painting, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

For more than half his life, Joseph Devlin battled severe OCD and depression, often alone and confined to his house. But now, thanks to an innovative programme of support, Joseph is restarting his life, forging a new path with confidence and renewed hope.

A new service to support parents and carers of young people experiencing emotional distress is being piloted in Glasgow until 31 March 2022. 

A community garden, which was established as part of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Shields Health and Care Centre, has been a sanctuary to people struggling with their mental health, isolation or loneliness.

As part of COP26, an awareness raising art installation highlighting the impact of air pollution on health was hosted on the campus of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s (NHSGGC) Gartnavel Hospitals.
