Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is delighted to be a key partner in the newly launched Glasgow City Food Plan (GCFP). The 10-year plan is collaborative, holistic and establishes meaningful work to make the food system in Glasgow more sustainable, equitable and healthy.

A free peer support service has been launched for social workers across Scotland, as practitioners across the country continue to feel pressures working during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), NHS Lothian and Public Health Scotland are working in partnership to conduct a comprehensive health needs assessment of Scotland’s LGBT+ population. As part of the health needs assessment, an online survey is being conducted from 11 June to 20 August 2021.

In 2020, a group of care experienced young people wanting to effect change in Glasgow was established. This group, known as People Achieving Change (PAC), is committed to supporting young people from a care background to have a voice and access to better services and outcomes. 

Many people are struggling to access food through absolutely no fault of their own, and this has increased during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic. 

June saw the country celebrate Carers Week to highlight the importance of unpaid carers.
