High demand and mental health stigma are making it increasingly challenging to access Mental Health support, especially for young people. 

The Scotland Malawi Mental Health Education Project (SMMHEP) is a registered Scottish charity that aims to provide sustainable support for psychiatric teaching and training for health care professionals in Malawi. 

Restart is a NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) mental health project that works with Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Community Mental Health Teams. 

To mark Stress Awareness Month this April, a new resource has been added to the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHGGGC) Mental Health Improvement Team Healthy Minds Collection: Online Harms and Mental Health.

Over 100 awards were given to participants in a graduation ceremony at the end of February for qualifications, training and personal development programmes completed by individuals in recovery from drug or alcohol misuse.

Statistics show that one in five women are affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and the first year after birth. This includes mental illness existing before pregnancy, as well as illnesses that develop for the first time, or are greatly exacerbated in the perinatal period.

A recent learning day is helping Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and our partners discuss the positives and challenges of Housing First in Glasgow. 

A training programme helping prisoners to tackle drug issues has won several awards.

The Mental Health Network (Greater Glasgow) is a network of people and carers with a lived experience of mental health issues.

Huge congratulations to our Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s Housing First Service, which was one of three finalists in the Excellence in Adult Services Category, at the Scottish Social Services Awards, held on 9 November in Glasgow.
