Over 100 awards were given to participants in a graduation ceremony at the end of February for qualifications, training and personal development programmes completed by individuals in recovery from drug or alcohol misuse.

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s Health Improvement Team staff has recently been working with the Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS) to increase awareness around the impact childhood trauma can have on individuals and society.

Statistics show that one in five women are affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and the first year after birth. This includes mental illness existing before pregnancy, as well as illnesses that develop for the first time, or are greatly exacerbated in the perinatal period.
