Item No 09 - Welfare Rights and Money Advice Performance 2022-2023

The purpose of this report is to report on the performance of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Welfare Rights and Money Advice Team for 2022-23, including details of money advice provision commissioned by the Heath Improvement Team. Also included is some activity that is being undertaking as part of a response to the cost of living crisis.

Partnership Matters - September/October 2023

Our September/October edition features a message from our Chief Officer, Susanne Millar; you can read about our Community Rehabilitation Teams, who are making a difference helping patients to maximise their independence; we ran a campaign to raise awareness in the city about suicide prevention; we celebrated our HSCP staff being recognised at a number of national and local awards; and you can read about our HSCP’s Annual Performance Report 2022 to 2023 and our Demographics and Needs Profile.

Consultation on updated Integration Scheme

Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) are in the process of updating the current Integration Scheme for Health and Social Care services in Glasgow City.
    
The current Integration Scheme was agreed by the Scottish Parliament in June 2015. The Scheme is a legal agreement between the Council and the Health Board in Glasgow City, that outlines the services provided by Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and describes how they are planned, delivered and monitored locally.

June 2017 - Special Edition on Homelessness

You can read about how the Homelessness Services Team, part of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership, has developed some new ways of working with partner agencies in the third sector to focus on better outcomes for the most vulnerable citizens with complex needs who find themselves homeless.

SDCF - Engagement

In September 2023 Glasgow City Integration Joint Board (IJB) approved a plan to implement a Safer Drug Consumption Facility in Hunter Street Health and Care centre.

Safer drug consumption facilities (SDCFs) are clean, hygienic environments where people can consume drugs, obtained elsewhere, under the supervision of trained health and social care professionals, reducing the risk of overdose and infectious diseases whilst offering support and access to healthcare and social care services.
