A new resource for education staff looking at risk taking behaviours in pupils is now available for Glasgow schools.

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)’s Youth Health Improvement Team recently launched the Multiple Risk Curricular Resource: Which Way, for use with pupils in P7 and S2.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is working with Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) alongside other partners to develop a new health and social care Hub at Parkhead in North East Glasgow. The Hub is being built on the site of the former Parkhead Hospital and current Sandyford, Anvil Centre and Parkhead Health Centre at Salamanca Street. Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) Parkhead Hub Health and Care Centre construction will be completed in August. The new Hub will integrate health, social care and community facilities, including a cafe and Parkhead Library.

Progress with the Construction

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (HSCP) new Parkhead Hub Health and Care Centre construction is progressing well. The building is now wind and watertight and the Main Contractor BAM is making good progress with the building services and internal fit-out. Many of the standard rooms are now substantially complete with the contractor now focusing their efforts on the circulation, atria and courtyard spaces.

An improved health and social care facility for people in the North East of Glasgow has moved a step closer. Building work on the new Parkhead Hub started on site in March 2022 and it’s due to open in 2024.

The Hub is being built on the site of the former Parkhead Hospital and current Sandyford, Anvil Centre and Parkhead Health Centre at Salamanca Street.
