Come and meander for Mental Health on the new date of Saturday, 15 October while exploring the beautiful grounds of Leverndale Hospital and surrounding green spaces. With free events and activities happening all day, from guided walks to face painting, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Bring the family for our fun day, take part in guided walks on our medal walking routes or just wander in the outdoors. 

The fun starts from 11.00am at the administration building (site entrance B), Leverndale Hospital and finishes at 4.00pm.

Glasgow offers everyone aged 16-24 free mental health support

High demand and mental health stigma are making it increasingly challenging to access Mental Health support, especially for young people. 

To address this, Glasgow City Council Education Services commissioned the innovative Togetherall service that’s freely available to anyone aged 16-24 with a Glasgow postcode. 

Togetherall is an evidence-based, clinically moderated, 24/7 online peer-to-peer mental health community.

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) offers Technology Enabled Care and Support (TECS) as a care and support option, for people to live their lives as independently as possible, in their own home.  A new Easy Read Booklet explains TECS and how the Social Work team will discuss and agree if, and how, the technical equipment could support you in your home. This Easy Read Booklet will improve access to information on services for individuals and their families and will answer frequently asked questions and worries.

From 5 – 10 September, Scotland stood together during Suicide Prevention Week to raise awareness and shine a light on suicide and what we can do to keep each other safe.

In Glasgow, our Glasgow City Suicide Prevention Partnership (GCSPP) ran a week-long campaign surrounding World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September, to raise awareness in the city about suicide prevention and the training available to anyone who would like to learn how to recognise and support someone at risk of suicide.

Free Daytime Discos for People over 50 Across the City

Free daytime discos for Glaswegians over 50 years of age have been running across the city. The sessions have been set up by social enterprise and charity Weekday Wow Factor, working in partnership with Glasgow City HSCP Local Area Coordination (LAC) Teams and Health Improvement staff. The sessions give people a chance to get out and about, socialise with others and have an enjoyable, relaxed afternoon.

New HSCP Vaccination Team

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has transferred vaccinations from General Practice (GP) to HSCP community services. The Vaccination Programme is coordinated at an NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) board level with our HSCP overseeing implementation across its three localities (North East, North West and South). 
 
An Immunisation and Injections Team has been established to work in collaboration with Public Health and GP colleagues to provide an accessible, person-centred and effective service.
