Parkhead Hub’s first community networking event was declared a roaring success by staff and the public who attended the event on 22 May.

Scottish Breastfeeding week ran from 9 to 15 June, and Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) staff were out and about promoting the benefits of breastfeeding and celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the Breastfeeding (Scotland) Act 2005.

Special Alexa devices have proved to be a hit with both residents and staff in Orchard Grove and Meadowburn Care Homes.

Glasgow City Health and Social Care partnership (HSCP) runs five residential care homes, providing 24-hour assistance to people who are no longer able to live independently at home. Our HSCP also runs day care services and care at home services.

TASK Family Support and Learning Centre in the Gorbals area has become the first early years establishment to fully sign up to the Breastfeeding Friendly Early Years Scheme in Glasgow City. The nursery is part of a pilot for the scheme, operating in Glasgow South and North East localities.
