Unsung Heroes – Home Carers Deliver Christmas Care and Cheer

As many people start to wind down for the festive period, hundreds of home carers across Glasgow are gearing up to carry out thousands of visits to some of our most vulnerable citizens on Christmas Day and over the festive period

On Christmas Day last year, more than 13,500 visits were carried out by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) home care staff – carrying out their normal daily duties whilst the rest of the city tuck into their turkey dinners.

Meander for Mental Health Film Now Available

A film about the successful Meander for Mental Health 2019 event, held on 14 September 2019 is now available on Youtube. The film shows the different activities that took place on the day and the shared enjoyment from simple things like walking and joining in with activities.

Supporting Breastfeeding - Govanhill Baby Cafe's 5th Birthday

Over 1,200 new mothers have benefited from support from Glasgow Baby Cafės in the last five years, according to new figures from the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).

The three cafes, based in Govanhill, Kirkintilloch and Barrhead, offer free support to local mothers who want to breastfeed.
