HSCP hosts community events to raise awareness of and support for dementia

Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) welcomed carers, families and local residents to a series of community events during this year’s Dementia Awareness Week, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and the support available.

Held annually in early June by Alzheimer Scotland and NHS Scotland, this year’s campaign focused on dementia diagnosis and raising awareness of the most common early symptoms.

There are over 100 Safer Drug Consumption Facilities (SDCF) worldwide including Europe, North America and Australia.

SDCFs offer a compassionate, person-centred service which focuses on reducing the harms associated with injecting drug use and helps people access appropriate services to meet their needs.

Glasgow's Fostering Service to receive major investment

Fostering in Glasgow has been given a major boost following approval by the city’s Integration Joint Board to introduce a £2000 referral payment; a £100 per week increase in foster care fees and an extra week’s annual review payment.
